Our recent Inside Science News Service story about crowdsourcing music was on my mind yesterday while I wandered the Web for news. Here are links to a handful of interesting reads.
The first one came to me via the excellent blog Marginal Revolution, which mainly covers economic topics, but has a wide net. The blog highlighted a Guardian story about using 3D printing to make guitars. Layer upon layer of plastic is printed, which adds up to make a guitar body. ISNS also covered the general topic of 3D printing in 2 stories earlier this year (here's the first, and the second).
As an interesting companion to our crowdsourcing story, check out this Pacific Standard article that describes taking humans out of the equation and leaving the composing to the computer.
Hope you enjoy these links. Please share your comments to this or any other story at the bottom of each story page, or by emailing us at email@example.com.
