News Currents: Using Technology to Make Music Sing

Our recent Inside Science News Service story about crowdsourcing music was on my mind yesterday while I wandered the Web for news. Here are links to a handful of interesting reads.

The first one came to me via the excellent blog Marginal Revolution, which mainly covers economic topics, but has a wide net. The blog highlighted a Guardian story about using 3D printing to make guitars. Layer upon layer of plastic is printed, which adds up to make a guitar body. ISNS also covered the general topic of 3D printing in 2 stories earlier this year (here's the first, and the second).
