Make your own creepy polymer

A polymer is a long chain of molecules, White school glue is comprised of the polymer polyvinyl acetate. Adding borax links the long chains of molecules together into a tangled mass that's LOTS of fun to play with.

  • Add 1/2 cup water to 1/2 cup white glue
  • Mix and add 3 drops of food coloring (if you want it any color besides white)
  • Take 1 tablespoon borax and add to 1/2 cup of warm water and stir.
  • Add borax solution to water and glue mixture
  • Stir as long as you can (it will get tough pretty soon)
  • Let it sit for a while.
  • Play!
