2003 U.S. Physics Olympiad Team Heard Lecture by 2006's Physics Nobelist
October 3, 2006--This year's winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics,
John Mather of NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, Md., was the keynote speaker at the U.S. Physics
Olympiad Team's 2003 reception. The U.S. Physics Team consists of high school students
selected to represent the U.S. at the world's most difficult high-school physics competition,
the International Physics Olympiad. During their training camp held at the University of
Maryland, they often hear speakers from the cutting edge of physics research.
