Guido Tonelli, spokesperson of another Higgs experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, describes the results.

Guido Tonelli, spokesperson of another experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, known as CMS, gave the other main presentation. His team reported a most likely mass for the Higgs at between 115-127 GeV/c^2, with their results most compatible with a mass of 124 GeV/c^2, corresponding to roughly 123 times the mass of the hydrogen atom. Like the ATLAS team, which reported their results beforehand, they do not have enough statistics to declare a discovery.

My first post on the Higgs seminar is here:

Inside Science News Service will have a longer feature article a little later today on the Higgs with additional background and information.

The webcast is ongoing at http://webcast.web.cern.ch/webcast/
