  1. Laser - A device that emits an intense bean of light.  Laser stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
  2. Blinding - The act of making someone unable to see permanently or temporarily.
  3. Gold nanocluster - A small group of gold atoms that behaves differently than a larger piece, for example having a reddish color instead of the usual gold color that in general handles light differently.
