New Mirror Eliminates Blind Spot

Inside Science Buzzwords:

1. Vehicle blind spot - An area around a vehicle that cannot be directly seen by the driver through either the side or rear-view mirrors.
2. Field of view - The portion of a visual scene that can be viewed at any one time through an organism’s visual system or an artificial instrument. Humans have an almost 180-degree field of view, while some birds have a complete or nearly complete 360-degree field of view.
3. Mirror - A smooth, polished surface that reflects light and forms images. Mirrors can be used to view objects that are out of the line of sight.
