The global demand for seaweed has never been higher, and American farmers are taking notice.

Seaweed is an ingredient in everything from fertilizers to food products and the demand for it has never been higher. Scientists say expanding the seaweed farming industry would benefit the global economy and offset a portion of our carbon emissions. Now, so scientists and entrepreneurs are working together to bring kelp farming to coastal communities around the world.
