  1. Mathematician - An individual who studies and explores such topics as numbers, quantities, and space, finding patterns, solving problems, and forming conjectures. Those solving problems outside of pure mathematics are called applied mathematicians and tackle many problems in related scientific fields.
  2. Symmetric - A geometric term that describes a regular, balanced and repeated pattern.
  3. Old Glory - A common nickname for the flag of the United States of America. The term was coined by William Driver, an early 19th century sea captain.
